IMPORTANT NOTE

Before going to Ukraine plan your trip in most accurate and detailed way. You should think over all possible situations in order to avoid any problems during your journey. Plan your possible expenses; take care of a place, where you will stay in Ukraine, and of course don't forget to take with you all necessary and important things like documents, for example. Our advices will help you to arrange your trip in the best way.

Money & possible expenses

It will be better to take most of your money in cash. Approximately you'll spend 80-90$ per day average. Don't forget to take your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express, but before make sure that credit cards are valid in Ukraine. Travelers' checks are not advisable because there are only a few places where they can be exchanged for money and the exchange fees are high.

Medical insurance & medicines

Take care of your medical insurance. Emergency medical expenses can be sometimes overwhelming. In such case travel medical insurance can help. Also take with you some the most frequent used medicines: aspirin, Tylenol, cough syrup, Alka Seltzer, antacid, anti-diarrhea compound, laxatives, throat lozenges, allergy medications, first aid cream, and the like. If you wear glasses or contacts, take a spare pair in your hand carried luggage.

Be prepared to different weather conditions

All we know that weather is very unpredictable thing. That's why we advice you to take an umbrella and warm clothing with you. Especially useful these things will be, if you're going to visit Ukraine in autumn or spring, when the weather often changes. And don't forget to provide yourself with comfortable footwear.

Keep vigilant watch over your documents

While traveling, keep your passport and other valuables close to your body, not in a carrying bag or in exposed pockets, especially when you are in public places. If there are two of you or more do not have one person carry all the documents. It's much better to make copies of all your documents and take them with you, not the originals.

Cell phone

It can be very useful to have a mobile phone with you during your trip. If there will be some problems you will be able to call someone for help. In case if you don't have your own cell phone you can rent it for time you'll be in Ukraine. If you get into trouble, use your phone and call the embassy (Local embassy numbers will be given on your itinerary sheets upon arrival in the tour city and keep it with you at all times).

If the purpose of your trip is to get acquainted with a woman

Have many photograph of yourself with your phone number on the back. This will help a girl to remember you better. You should take their photos also. You can meet plenty of women during your trip. Taking their photos will make sure that you won't forget the majority of them. Study some rules of Ukrainian etiquette. Observing etiquette you'll look much better in ladies' opinion. Ukrainian woman will be honored if you ask her to be your guide. With great pleasure she will show you the most interesting places in the city.

Language barrier

Learn some frequent used phrases in Russian or Ukrainian. This will be very useful for you. Using such phrases will enable Ukrainian to understand you better, and it will be easy for you to get what you want. Besides the Ukrainians that you come in contact with will be impressed by you knowledge and honored that you made some effort to learn their language.

You should by a map

When you arrived to a lace of destination, you should by a map. It will be extremely useful if you get lost. If you have a map, you can indicate to passing Ukrainians that you are lost, you can point on the map to where you want to go, have them point to your current location, and then have them point you in the right direction.
